When considering any major purchase such as new or used vehicle it is worth considering some of these points.
firstly whether you would like a new or used vehicle and how are you going to be financing your purchase.
( YOU MUST FACTOR INTO YOUR REPAYMENT PLAN, YOUR INSURANCE COSTS, ROAD TAX, Where applicable and SERVICING/Repair COSTS and travel expenses)
know let’s get down to the vehicle
what make would you like
what model would you like
would you prefer Petrol or Diesel
what engine size ( this is either listed as CC OR LITRE )
( the size of the engine could have a bearing on how much road tax you would be required to pay,
there are many good websites and apps which will be able to advise on road tax prices )
The colour of the vehicle
How many doors
would you prefer a saloon or an estate
Some tricks I use when viewing vehicle are take a Clean leather with you in case it’s been raining ( so you can view the bodywork) be careful not to scratch the paint work.
I also take a small diagnostic machine with me and plug it in to have a look for any fault codes
( I take a photo of the screen of the diagnostic machine For future reference) ie to show the sales person to make sure that it’s repaired before taking ownership of vehicle
